"I took inspiration from the latest catwalks in which the trends of layering and combining patterns and textures were common. The military influence has been all over the high streets lately and by incorporating that with layering I achieved these looks. I liked the fact that chunky knit scarves and fur hats played a big part in menswear this season aptly so with the freezing temperatures we had, it was not only fashionable but essential part of outfits. I teamed my looks with military boots to make them edgy, which you’ll find will be a continuing trend in menswear this spring."

We women get annoyed with the smallest details when looking at a man, especially when it comes to fashion! Wearing white socks or having trousers that are too short are an obvious faux pas, here are the top 3 items that every man should pay attention to when dressing up for the summer.
Shorts
Think chinos- jazzy prints, turn-up detail and city slicker shorts. Men’s dress shorts are back! With an emphasis on clean lines and tailored effects. Yet again this summer, every major designer is coming out with a selection of swank, fine looking shorts.

Jackets
The most versatile item for any wardrobe: My No. 1 go-to piece is the navy blazer. it can be dressed up with a shirt, tie and charcoal grey trousers or dressed down with denim. A high performance fabric means it wrinkles less and is the perfect item for summer travelIing.

T-shirts
T-shirts are covered in trippy fuchsia geometric patterns season with tie-dye prints and multicolour pattern trims. Pick nostalgic logos, patterns i.e dirty retro and asymmetric brush.

Mandals
Sandals are the oldest footwear in the world, and unless you're wearing something pink and covered in sequins, they are pretty gender neutral.
Flip-flops have been around for years, but it seems more recently they have been revived and even men are sporting them. OK, so they're light, comfortable and extremely low maintenance, not to mention cheap but they are seen in every wardrobe in almost every shade.
Mandals are the most natural thing for your feet other than barefoot. Our feet were never meant to be suffocated in hot smelly shoes.
Word to the wise: Sandals are as laid-back as you can get, but please take care of your stompers if you're going to wear them
What’s Hot for men this summer?
Hitting the streets of London and the high end clubs in the last few weeks and watching the spaces of high street shops 2009 summer collections, it is evident that men need to do better than just the standard casual tee’s of previous summers (Just a tip on two pieces that you might choose to acquire this summer). A must have this summer seems to be the chambray shirts and you might also choose to invest in a satin blazer.
Chambray short-sleeve shirts and long-sleeve shirts
If you are looking for something to wear to for casual dinners, meeting and outings with friends this summer, the Chambray double breasted pocket shirts and single breasted button-fastened shirts seem to be back in the streets. Don’t miss out on the trend, hit the shops for one of these stylish short-sleeve or long sleeve chambray shirts. If it’s a hot summer day, you can choose to roll up the sleeves, “it looks just as hot” “if not hotter”.
Blazer
If you still feel the need to “sport” a blazer, then the satin blazers needs to be what would be top on your fashion shopping list this summer, wearing it with a tee, shirt or jumper it looks just as hot.

TREND: Bistrotheque
Think of ’Chuck’ from ITV’s Gossip Girl - it’s the smarter side to casual dressing, lightweight cotton blazers, shorts with a striped t-shirt/ polo. The style is to meet in between classic Parisian & the original preppy look – team with a tweed looking trilby and you are good to go.
Just remember block colours, blues & burgundy red is HOT right now.
